Review by hotel critic
Review of Margot HouseDuring my recent family trip to Barcelona with my two-month-old baby, we chose Margot House based on a glowing recommendation from Condé Nast. While the location in the heart of the city, near the Old Quarter and Casa Batlló, is undoubtedly a significant advantage, the overall value proposition left me contemplating the cost versus the offerings. The hotel features a charming, artsy design and only nine rooms, which fosters a cozy atmosphere. The presence of a 24/7 receptionist added an extra layer of convenience, especially when I needed assistance with our baby. The spacious room included a large bathtub, which was notably useful. the breakfast was satisfactory, complete with made-to-order eggs, catering to those with specific dietary preferences. While Margot House delivers on style, the luxury does seem to come at a steep price. While the cleanliness and friendly staff were appreciated, I found my experience did not justify the premium rate. For guests prioritizing cost and seeking a more comprehensive range of services, exploring other options might be wise.
